Camping is an important part of the scout program for all ages. In the Longhouse Council, we offer a range of camping opportunities all year long. We have summer programs for both Cub Scout and Boy Scouts, along with year-round camping at Camp Woodland.
Tupper Lake Triad – August 23-25, 2024! The Tupper Lake Triad will be based at Massawepie Scout Reservation cohosted by Troop 41B, Troop 1099G, Pack 31, and Seaway Trails District. Check-ins open at 6pm Friday, August 23rd at Massawepie, please arrive between 6pm-9pm. The main events – hiking Goodman Mountain, Coney Mountain, and Mount Arab – will happen on Saturday 9am-12pm, a lunch break at Tupper Lake Park, then hike again 1pm-4pm! Each mountain will have a theme of activity at the base and peak, and encouragement along the way. Each mountain may take 1.5-2 hours to hike, and are “easy” trails in Adirondack standards. Earn the Tupper Lake Triad Patch – both in Scouting and via the Adirondack Association. If you would like to hike only in the morning, for an additional $20 you and your group can go to the W!LD Center in Tupper lake for the afternoon, for some great fun and knowledge!
